A certification body or examination board does not just need correct results. It needs every step of the candidate's journey to be defensible: that the item bank is calibrated, that variants are properly equated, that identity verification is proportionate, that integrity controls are documented, that marking is consistent and reviewable, that the candidate can contest a result through a defined process, and that the audit trail will hold up when challenged.
